HC: Inquiry report must be shared with persons accused of falsifying info

Hyderabad: The division bench of the Telangana High Court on Wednesday stated that an inquiry report prepared by the district-level caste scrutiny committee has to be mandatorily supplied to the person concerned.

The High Court was dealing with an appeal filed by the TSRTC against a single-judge order, which directed the corporation to reinstate ex-employee K. Laxmi Narayana, who was dismissed for producing a bogus ST caste certificate.

An inquiry found that the person did not belong to the ST community and was then removed from service.

When Narayana challenged his removal in court, the single-judge set aside the dismissal and ordered his reinstatement, directing the TSRTC to supply the report to him to initiate further action.

The TSRTC, subsequently, filed an appeal, but the division bench said that the inquiry report must be given to the ex-employee. However, the division bench set aside the single-judge order on reinstatement.
