Hyderabad: A teenager died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks near Bolaram. Owais, 16, a native of Uttar Pradesh, had left home informing that he was going near the tracks to click a selfie on his mobile.
He was hit by a train at around 4 pm on Sunday and died while undergoing treatment an hour later. Secunderabad railway police registered a case and started an investigation. After post-mortem, his body was handed over to his family on Monday.
According to the police, Owais came to the city for vacation and was to return home after a few days. On Sunday evening, he informed his relatives that he was going near the tracks to click selfies.
While crossing the tracks near the Bolaram under-bridge, he was hit by a train, railway police said.
