Two TRS leaders, aide arrested for making fake land deeds
Hyderabad: Two TRS leaders, who are into real estate business, and their associate were arrested by the Ghatkesar police for allegedly cheating two persons working in the Secretariat by making a sale deed of a land owned by a deceased person. The arrested were identified as Balnala Praveen Kumar Mudiraj, P. Sampath Rao and their associate, Dayanand Reddy.
According to the police, Nagi Reddy owned a land measuring 970 square yards in Annojiguda village under the Ghatkesar police station limit. After his death in 2014, his sons were in possession of the land. Meanwhile, the main suspect, Praveen Kumar, approached Nagi Reddy’s family for the documents. He trapped them by saying that he would verify the documents if they are genuine and also check if the land was encroached. Trusting him, they gave him the original document of the land.
Without the knowledge of Nagi Reddy’s family, he made a sale deed with two persons working in the Secretariat and collected Rs 32 lakh from them in 2016. Recently, they came to know that Praveen had cheated them by using the name of a dead person for the sale deed agreement.
While discussions were in progress, Nagi Reddy’s family asked Praveen to return the original document, but he delayed it by making excuses. “After verifying the evidence, we arrested three persons and will produce them in the court,” said D. Anil, SI Ghatkesar police station.
