Hyderabad: Three killed in freak accidents
Hyderabad: Two persons were killed in two different accidents on Saturday. A woman died after she accidentally fell in an abandoned quarry pit at Quthbullapur. In the accident under the Medchal police station, a 23-year-old person died after a tipper lorry crashed into a car.
In another freak accident at Bibinagar, a worker died after he got struck among the tin sheets in a DCM van.
In the accident at Medchal, O. Anil Kumar died on the spot. The police said that Anil Kumar, a resident of Dundigal, was working as a car driver. On Saturday, he left home for work. At around 10.45 pm, an overspeeding tipper coming in the opposite direction rammed into Anil’s car. Anil got struck in the vehicle and died. Based on a complaint from his brother, a case was booked against the tipper driver.
In another incident under the Jeedimetla police station limits, 18-year-old Lakshmi, a resident of Gajularamaram, who went to relieve herself near a quarry accidentally slipped and fell. Her body was recovered and a case is registered.
In an accident at Bibinagar on the Warangal-Hyderabad High-way, a 45-year-old worker died after he got struck among the tin sheets in a DCM van.
In another incident at Bollaram, a cement container overturned. However, there were casualties.
