Chennai: To facilitate the Sunday marathon of Wipro, organised between Tidel Park and RBI Subway, the traffic arrangements as following were made by the city police. Cops also appealed to motorists to cooperate.
According to a press release, the arrangement will facilitate the runners a free flow during the marathon, which is scheduled between 4 am and 10 am. The stretch between CPT up to Tidel Park on OMR will be closed for vehicular traffic.
Vehicles coming on OMR Road towards Tidel Park will be diverted through New Bridge Thiruvanmiyur Junction left turn towards L.B. Road, Adyar Junction taking left or right to reach their destination. Vehicles coming on S.V. Patel Road intended to go through OMR will be diverted to go straight to Adyar Junction -right onto L.B. Road, Thiruvanmiyur Junction to reach their destination.
The stretch of Swamy Sivanada Salai will be closed for vehicular traffic. Vehicles coming from North intended to go to Adyar will be diverted at Parrys Corner to take the route Via-NSC Bose Road - Evening Bazaar Road - EVR Salai - Stanley via duct Bridge - Anna Salai - GP Road -Tower Clock - GRH - Royapettah High Road - Luz - Mandaveli - Brodie Castle Road towards Adyar. Vehicles will be allowed in the usual route from CPT Adyar up to Labour statue.
