Khammam: A couple died after one of the walls of their house collapsed on them at Cheruvu Madaram village in Nelakondapalli mandal in Khammam district on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as N. Pullaiah, 45, and Lakshmi, 38. Sources said that the wall was weakened as it got completely soaked due to rains for the last two days and fell on the couple, who succumbed to injuries.
On the other hand, as many as 40 sheep belonging to one Bollu Uppalaiah died after they were struck by lightning at Seethapuram village in Ashwapuram mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
