Firecracker Bundle in Tirumala Express Creates Flutter in Tuni Railway Station

Kakinada: A bundle of clothes containing firecrackers on the Tirumala Express train created a flutter in Tuni railway station on Monday afternoon.

The train, going to Tirupati from Visakhapatnam, halted at Tuni railway station at 3.59 pm. Passengers in the S-3 coach noticed smoke erupting from a bundle of clothes and discovered that it contained firecrackers. Some passengers threw the bundle out of the coach. The train departed from the station at 4.06 pm.

Tuni government railway police sub-inspector Abdul Maroof told the Deccan Chronicle that the police found a small quantity of firecrackers in the bundle, but there was no incident at the train or the station.
