Chennai constable reels from Inspector's hard slap
Police sources said head constable Velmurugan was already facing some heath issues.

Chennai: A police head constable collapsed and was taken to hospital after he was allegedly assaulted by his superior officer for coming late to duty in Kancheepuram on Sunday.

Velmurugan collapsed and was taken to Kancheepuram government hospital in a 108 ambulance service. After treatment, he was taken to Sivakanchi police station. Police sources said Velmurugan was already facing some heath issues.
“We are enquiring into the incident,” a senior police officer said.
