SRM University greens 487-km relay run

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education chairman Prof. K. Hemachandra Reddy underlined the need to raise awareness about child safety, child disability and environment conservation for a healthy society.

He was speaking after flagging off a 487-km relay flaming torch run from SRM University-AP on Tuesday. The run will conclude at SRM KTR campus in Tamil Nadu on September 8 – World Physiotherapy Day.

Prof. Hemachandra Reddy observed that awareness about child safety will keep children more secure and awareness of disability will ensure good health for children.

SRM-AP vice chancellor Prof. V.S. Rao said they are fortunate to be a part of 2002 THE PHYSIO RUN for raising awareness about child safety and environment protection.

Pro-vice chancellor Prof. Lt. Col. Arunachalam Ravikumar and World Records Union representative H. Shareefa were among those who spoke.
