26 year old woman dies of electrocution in field at Thurkapally

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old woman, an agricultural labourer, died of electrocution in a field at Thurkapally village under Shameerpet police station limits on Monday evening. According to Shameerpet sub-inspector Naveen Reddy, the woman identified as Anitha, 26, was a resident of Thurkapally village. On Monday morning, she went to the field to work and while returning home after completion of the work, she accidentally held the fencing of the field.

“An electrical wire passing above the fencing fell on it during the evening. Anitha, who did not notice this has caught the fencing while crossing it and suffered electrocution. She collapsed there. Though she was rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment by her fellow labourers, she was declared brought dead.” “A case has been registered for the probe and sent the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for the autopsy,” the sub-inspector said.
