Warangal: Goatherd attacks driver
Warangal: A lorry driver, who drove through a herd of goats, killing 30 of them, was chased down by the goatherd and hacked with an axe at Kudayyapalli in Jayashankar Bhupalapalli district.
He suffered severe cuts to his neck and lost a lot of blood. He was rushed to MGM hospital in Warangal and is said to be out of danger.
Police said the driver, Md Jameel, was transporting sand from Kaleshwaram when he came across the goats belonging to one Egurla Mallaih of Kundurpalli.
The lorry ran over the herd at Kompelli crossroads, killing at least 30 goats and injuring several more, and went on without stopping. The enraged goatherd, Chandru Naik, chased the lorry on a two-wheeler along with one Uppu Shiva.
They managed to stop it 2 km later at Kundayyapalli. Naik beat up the driver and took an axe to him injuring him on his throat and stomach and leaving him in a pool of blood. The police took the driver to hospital in an ambulance and took Shiva and
