Times have changed, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan reminds BJP

LDF convener Vaikom Viswan claimed that Mr Jaitley came to implement the RSS agenda.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan sees a political motive behind Arun Jaitley’s visit to the home of slain RSS leader S. L. Rajesh. Inaugurating a dharna of families of 21 "martyrs" in the district before Raj Bhavan demanding Mr Jaitley should meet them as well, he said RSS was keen to dismiss the democratically elected government brandishing political violence. He challenged the BJP government to sack the left government in the state.

"Times have changed. Now the BJP should realise that the situation in Kerala is no longer the same as during the dismissed EMS Government. What BJP should first be doing is to let the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath settle law and order there,” he said. He alleged that the situation in Kerala worsened after BJP president Amit Shah’s visit and that RSS had been firm in initiating violent political attacks. LDF convener Vaikom Viswan claimed that Mr Jaitley came to implement the RSS agenda. Governor P. Sathasivam was away in Chennai.
