Patient dies of wrong treatment.

KRISHNAGIRI: The Krishnagiri district police on Friday arrested a quack doctor, who is just a school dropout, for allegedly causing the death of a woman with his botched-up treatment.

Police said, 28-year-old Murugammal of Banthapalli village, near Guruparapalli, on Chennai-Bengaluru national highway in Krishnagiri, who was suffering from piles problem, died due to the wrong treatment given to her by a local quack.
On Friday, the woman who suffered from piles came to the clinic run by S.M. Babu of Kamaraj Nagar in Rayakottai road of Krishnagiri. She was here for the surgery to remove the lump as a cure for her illness.

Babu accepted Rs 7,500 as charges for the treatment and admitted Murugammal in his clinic. It was alleged that Babu gave three injections in her spinal cord.
Immediately, after she was injected Murugammal started bleeding from her mouth and nostrils and died. Following the tragedy, her relatives lodged a complaint with Krishnagiri taluk police station.

Police took custody of Babu and during the investigation it was found that the school drop out was practising as a ‘doctor’ in the town for over 15 years.

He was running his clinic with the experience gained while working with a qualified doctor in Dharmapuri.
