T-Hub enabled innovation: KTR

Hyderabad: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday hailed the achievements of T-Hub in nurturing start-ups and enabling innovation, terming them a testament to Telangana’s commitment to becoming a global innovation hub.

Speaking at the second ‘T-Innovation Summit’, organised as part of T-Hub 2.0’s first anniversary celebrations, Rama Rao lauded the efforts of T-Hub in shaping the start-up ecosystem in the state and positioning Telangana as a preferred destination for entrepreneurs.

The event showcased the achievements of T-Hub and its significant contributions to enabling entrepreneurship in Telangana. The first edition of the T-Innovation Summit, which coincided with the inauguration of T-Hub 2.0 last year, served as a flagship platform that reinforced Hyderabad's position as the global destination for startups.

“T-Hub played a pivotal role in putting Telangana at the forefront of entrepreneurship. Its achievements in enabling entrepreneurship have solidified Hyderabad's position as a global destination for start-ups,” said IT principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan.

Mahankali Srinivas Rao, chief executive officer of T-Hub, said, “The T-Innovation Summit marks a significant milestone in our journey as the world's largest innovation hub. We are proud to have created a vibrant platform that brings together global networks and communities to support entrepreneurship and innovation.”

A release said that in addition to the T-Innovation Summit, another ongoing initiative, Innovate Telangana, is aimed at discovering and accelerating the most promising start-ups from the state.

“This initiative will provide start-ups with incubation support, access to value partners, angels/VCs, mentors, and grant support, fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. The event will span across 33 districts and 120 days, encompassing five pitching clusters of Sircilla, Nirmal, Warangal, Medchal, and Jogulamba Gadwal. The top 10 start-ups will be invited for incubation under various T-Hub programmes,” the release stated.
