Universities like Delhi University do not consider the subject civics as political science and deny admissions to under graduate courses.
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education on Saturday said that it has changed the name of the subject civics at the +2 Level to political science.
A statement from the Board said, “The subject civics is not offered at the level of +2 in the CBSE and the ICSE curriculum. It does not even find its place in state educational boards of India at the +2 level. Universities like Delhi University do not consider the subject civics as political science and deny admissions to under graduate courses like BA (Honours) Political Science. Hence the Board has changed the name of the subject.”
