Saritha S Nair hopes to get justice from new government

The panel will complete the examination of all the evidence before June 30.

KOCHI: After appearing before the Justice G. Sivarajan Commission inquiring into the solar scam, Saritha S. Nair on Monday told media persons that she hopes to get justice from the new LDF government. During the sitting, the Commission accepted all the evidence produced by Saritha earlier.

The evidence includes the copy of the 25-page letter she reportedly wrote while in police custody, video clips of some former ministers physically harassing her and audio clips of her conversation with Vasudeva Sarma, the private secretary of former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Benny Behannan, former MLA, and copies of other documents relevant to the solar scam transactions.

The Commission marked all the evidence and accepted them. Later, the Commission will inspect the evidence in detail and copies will be sent to those against whom she had raised the charges. The Commission has directed Saritha to appear before it on June 17 for cross examination and also asked her to produce the original of the letter she had reportedly written in police custody.

The panel will complete the examination of all the evidence before June 30. The Commission also criticized Adv. Sivan Madhathil, advocate of former minister Shibu Baby John for not appearing before it on Monday’s sitting.
