Kerala: 99.93 per cent students clear ICSE
Thiruvananthapuram: The pass percentage of state in the ICSE (Class X) examinations is 99.93 per cent and ISC (class XII) examinations 99.35 percent.
Lekshmi S. Sunil of St. Thomas Residential School, Thiruvanthapuram and Misba S. Khadar of Mount Carmel Convent Anglo-Indian Girls High School, Thangaserry were the top rankers for ICSE from the state with 493 marks (98.6 per cent).
Meenakshi P. Shaji of Vimala Central School, Perumbavoor came second with 492 marks (98.4 percent). The third rank was shared Ashwini A. Kumar of St Thomas Residential School, Thiruvananthapuram and Shalini Susan George of Holy Angel’s ISC School, Thiruvananthapuram with 491 marks (98.2 per cent).
For the ISC, Visakh S. of St Thomas Residential School, Thiruvananthapuram with 394 marks (98.50 percent) was state first, while Lakshmi S. Menon of the same school with 393 (98.25 per cent) came second.
Nikhil Suresh of SDA Higher secondary school, Thiruvilamala, Thrissur and Adit Chandra of Loyola School, Thiruvananthapuram with 392 marks (98 per cent) came third. Of the 7,459 students who appeared for ICSE 3,631 were boys and 3,828 girls. Of the 2,154 students who appeared for ISC 1,068 are boys and 1,086 girls.
For the ICSE, of the students passed 3627 (99.89 per cent) are boys and 3,827 girls. For the ISC, of the students passed 1,058 (99.06 percent) are boys and 1,082 (99.63 percent) girls. The result is available in the website www.cisce.org A total of 142 schools presented students for ICSE while 58 schools presented students for ISC.
