Woman constable rewarded for restricting CP from carrying mobile into exam centre

HYDERABAD: A constable, K. Kalpana, stopped Rachakonda police commissioner D.S. Chauhan from carrying his cell phone at a Class 10 examination centre, on Thursday.

LB Nagar constable Kalpana posted at the gate of the centre, the LB Nagar Government School, noticed that Chauhan had his phone with him when he was going to inspect the centre. She gave her own phone to a colleague, entered the centre and asked Chauhan not to carry the phone inside.

Later the commissioner rewarded Kalpana for performing her duty.

During the inspection, Chauhan appreciated the work of women police personnel posted at the exam centres. LB Nagar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sai Sri, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sridhar Reddy appreciated Kalpana.
