Posters appear against Nehru College principal
KASARGOD: The alleged "emotional abuse" against Nehru College outgoing principal P.V. Pushpaja is continuing, even after students celebrated her retirement with the bursting of crackers and then putting up of posters that proclaimed 'for the principal who died in the hearts of students', in her native place, Kodakkad. Notices addressed to 'Red Salute Comrades' aims at personally demeaning the principal, and even writing badly about her family members and is spreading. The notice, also asks comrades why they were making the principal famous, thanks to the issues at the college. It also blames the media for giving more attention to a 'trivial' issue.
The college gave a farewell party to Ms Pushpaja and the other teachers at the college on March 28. However, soon after the farewell, some of the students affiliated to SFI gathered in the college auditorium and burst crackers and put up posters against the principal. After that they also posted the video of bursting crackers on social media. Two students were arrested after the complaint filed by the principal. SFI denied any role in the activities and said that the principal was settling scores because of political leanings with the Congress.
