UDF workers protest against Jacobite Bishop

Kottayam: UDF activists protested against Elias Mar Athanasios, bishop of the Malankara Jacobite church, Thrissur, for arriving at Kanjikuzhy in Idukki district for the blessing ceremony of a private firm on Thursday when it had called for a harthal in protest against the alleged insult meted out to the mother of Jishnu Pranoy in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday. The UDF activists raised slogans as a protest against the bishop. He later went back without conducting the blessing ceremony.
