V M Radhakrishnan gets bail with strict riders
Thrissur: The Thrissur Vigilance Court on Monday granted bail to controversial industrialist V.M. Radhakrishnan on stringent conditions after he surrendered before the Vigilance office in Palakkad on Monday morning. The High Court had earlier rejected his anticipatory bail petition in the alleged Rs 52.5-lakh Malabar Cements fly ash corruption case. The Vigilance officials brought him to Thrissur Vigilance Court in the afternoon and the court ordered him to be present before the Vigilance officials in Palakkad every alternate day for two weeks for questioning.
Thereafter, he would be banned from entering Palakkad for a month. The court also ordered him to pay a guarantee of Rs 1 lakh for getting bail. Former MD of Malabar Cements Sundaramoorthy, legal officer Prakash Joseph, executive director of ARK Wood and Metals Ltd S. Vadivelu are also accused in the case.
