Kerala tastes substandard brandy: Comptroller and Auditor General
The tests by the CAG's audit team on two brands found that the percentage of grape spirit was only in the range of 0.75 to 1.51 percent.
Thiruvananthapuram: The Comptroller and Auditor General has found that the brandy sold in the state were not meeting the standards. Even as norms prescribe that blended grape brandy should contain at least two percent pure grape brandy, the tests by the CAG's audit team on two brands found that the percentage of grape spirit was only in the range of 0.75 to 1.51 percent, according to the CAG report tabled in the assembly on Monday.
