Andhra MLA says Jagananna colonies will be ready by Ugadi

Vijayawada: Gannavaram MLA Dr. Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan on Saturday went door to door during his Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme at Nidamanuru in Vijayawada Rural mandal of NTR district.

The legislator inquired about implementation of state government’s welfare schemes in the area. He registered names of persons eligible for sanctioning of pensions. He directed officials to resolve all local problems, without keeping any of them pending.

Vamsi said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has distributed 33 lakh house site pattas throughout AP under the YSR Jagananna housing scheme, which is a record. He pointed out that beneficiaries are constructing houses. He said the state government is setting a target of completing at least five lakh houses by the coming Telugu New Year Ugadi, so that their housewarming is held on the day.

The MLA underlined that many welfare schemes are being implemented by the state government for the benefit of poor people. Most of these schemes are not being implemented in any other states of the country. Teams from several states have visited Andhra Pradesh to study these schemes, so that they can be implemented in their respective states, he stated.
