In his written reply, Jyotiraditya Scindia said: “The centre has requested the Odisha state government to allocate an iron ore block through the reservation route to RINL. In addition, steps have been taken to improve RINL's financial performance, such as reduction in costs, optimisation of product mix as per market requirements to achieve increase in steel production and sales, and increasing the percentage of indigenous coking coal in the coal mix to reduce costs,” the union minister stated.
