Amit Shah blames Kerala for not tapping Central benefits

He also said that the CPM believed only violence and not in development.

Kochi: BJP national president Amit Shah on Monday said that the greatest achievement of the NDA government led by Narendra Modi was that not even one coruption charge has been leveled against any minister in two-and-a-half-years. Inaugurating the first birthday conclave of the Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) at Karukutty near here, he said that the demonetisation measure was aimed at unearthing black money and also bringing the poor to the path of development.

Turning to state, Mr Shah said that though Modi Government since its inception launched a host of programmes like Jan Dhan, Skill India, Start-Up, Stand-Up, Mudra Bank, both the previous UDF Government and the present LDF Government failed to respond to it because of which Kerala people failed to benefit from these initiatives. He also said that the CPM believed only violence and not in development. Mr Shah while underscoring that the Modi Government was working for inclusive growth said that the BJP-BDJS led NDA will get majority seats in the coming Assembly and Parliament elections in the state.

BDJS president Tushar Vellappally who presided over the function said that the organization has been able to make its presence felt in a short span of one year since its inception. Thousands of BDJS workers had gathered to witness the first birthday celebration held at Adlux Convention Centre. BJP leader Rajiv Chandrasekhar MP, BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan and former president V Muraleedharan, among others, were present.
