Hyderabad: Nine NCC groups from AP and Telangana participated in an inter-group competition for selections for the Republic Day Camp 2024 to be held in New Delhi. Cadets of Warangal group were the winners while the Secunderabad group was the runner up.
The exercise was conducted from October 27 to November 5 at the Mehdipatnam Military Garrison, where boys and girls competed in various activities like small arms firing, cultural events showcasing the cultural heritage of two states, photography in various genres and flag area competitions.
The cadets selected from this camp will be trained and will represent both the states in the Republic Day Parade at New Delhi in January 2024.
Air Commodore V. Madhusudan Reddy, Deputy Director General, NCC Directorate, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, applauded the cadets and the officers and expressed the confidence that they would return with the trophy next year.
