Devotees throng Bhagyalakshmi temple at Charminar

After the Maha Aarthi, temple authorities started distributing 'Khazana' rupee coins to devotees. It is believed these coins bring fortune

HYDERABAD: Devotees thronged Bhagyalakshmi Temple at Charminar for Maha Lakshmi Pooja coinciding with the Diwali on Thursday. The devout started gathering at the temple from Thursday morning itself for pooja and darshan.

Flow of devotees continued on Friday too with an endless queue till Madina Building.

After the Maha Aarthi on Thursday evening, temple authorities started distributing “Khazana” rupee coins to devotees. It is believed these coins bring fortune to devotees.

Temple trustee Shashikala said, “Devotees from across India are visiting for blessings of the Goddess on occasion of Diwali. They include governors, judges, politicians and cine personalities. We have ensured that no inconvenience is caused to devotees in having their darshan.”

One of the organisers Gunti Manjula Rani said, “Because of Coronavirus pandemic, devotees were restricted during last two years. Since Covid-19 cases are under control this year, response of devotees has been overwhelming this year.”
