MANUU PhD scholars begin English classes
Hyderabad: PhD scholars of MANUU have started spoken English classes for fellow students of the university.
Around six scholars from various departments initiated the classes after noticing difficulties being faced by students from rural areas during interviews or follow classes.
Many students have registered for these classes which are conducted over weekends.
Tajamul Islam, a resource person, says, “We are conducting the classes every weekend for almost two hours at three different hostels. We are delighted with the surprising turnout.”
“The idea is to make the language seem less daunting and the initiative will prove beneficial. Many students hesitate to clear their doubts from teachers but they will not hesitate to ask their close peers,” says a professor lauding the initiative.
The scholars are also planning to invite speakers from faculty members to conduct classes.
