Andhra Pradesh to develop roads: YV Subba Reddy

Subba Reddy laid the stone for construction of a 100-beds hospital at Mandapeta

KAKINADA: The state government has chalked out a plan of action to develop the roads in Andhra Pradesh on an urgent basis. This apart, YSR Clinics would be set up at all secretariat limits at a cost of Rs 178 crore, said Y.V. Subba Reddy, chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), here on Tuesday.

Subba Reddy participated in several development programmes at Pithapuram and Mandapeta assembly constituency limits during the day.

He said that due to cyclones and heavy rains, the roads in the state have been damaged badly. All the roads would be developed and repairs carried out on a war-footing.

Chief Minister Jagan aimed at developing the education, medical and health sectors to give quality education and quality medical treatment to the people, Reddy said.

He said all the government schools and Primary Health Centres were being developed under Naadu-Nedu programme and the people need not worry about their children’s future anymore due to the good education students get at government schools. They also get quality treatment in the government hospitals, after the YSRC came to power, Reddy noted.

Subba Reddy laid thestone for construction of a 100-beds hospital at Mandapeta. He said a Super Specialty hospital would be constructed at Mandapeta on a three-acre plot, and the YSRC government would liberally help the downtrodden sections.

The people are supporting the YSRC and this was proven in local body elections. In Mandapeta, which was once a Telugu Desam bastion, the people are now with the YSRC.

Rajya Sabha member Pilli Subhashchandra Bose, MLC Thota Trimurthulu, Mandapeta MLA Vegulla Jogeswara Rao, Rajamahendravaram MP Margani Bharat and others were present.

Subba Reddy inaugurated the government polytechnic building at a cost of Rs 7.78 crore at Pithapuram on Tuesday along with the district in-charge minister and deputy chief minister Dharmana Krishna Das, agriculture minister Kannababu, Panchayat Raj minister Peddireddy, BC welfare minister Venugopal Krishna and Pithapuram MLA Pendem Dorababu.

Reddy said 33 lakh people have been given house pattas in the state out of which 25,000 were given for Pithapuram assembly constituency. Later, he unveiled a statue of former minister Koppana Mohanrao at Mallam Village in Pithapuram mandal.
