Hyderabad: Eight special short distance trains to various destinations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were run by the South Central Railways (SCR) to clear the extra rush of passengers on the occasion of Dasara due to the RTC strike. The special trains consisted of only general compartments, where in unreserved passengers might travel.
Each train could accommodate about 2,000 people, thus clearing off some of the additional rush. The special Jansadharan trains were run between Hyderabad-Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Kazipet-Bhadrachalam, Kacheguda-Nizamabad, Kacheguda-Kurnool City.
