Vijayawada: As TSRTC employees are on strike, APSRTC is operating special services mainly from Hyderabad to several parts in Andhra Pradesh and also to metros like Bengaluru and Chennai to help passengers reach their destinations.
APSRTC authorities maintain that they operate 549 regular services to Telangana from different parts of AP. But given the huge passenger demand, authorities operated 490 additional services to the neighbouring state on Friday alone as the day witnessed peak demand during the weekend with a large number of IT professionals travelling from Hyderabad to reach their home towns and villages in AP.
On Saturday, the AP authorities planned to operate 300 extra services.
