Karnataka minister Shivarama Hebbar tests COVID positive

Uttara Kannada recorded 213 cases on Saturday. The total COVID cases in the district till date is 5,761

Karwar: Karnataka labour and sugar minister A Shivarama Hebbar and his wife tested COVID positive on Saturday.

After Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik tested COVID positive in August, Uttara Kannada district incharge minister Shivaram Hebbar is the second MLA in the district to test positive.

Hebbar tweeted about undergoing the COVID test.

"We had undergone COVID test and declared positive. As there is no symptom, I will be under Home Isolation and get treated," Hebbar tweeted.

Meanwhile, Uttara Kannada recorded 213 cases on Saturday. The total COVID cases in the district till date is 5,761.
