US national John Frieser to leave GHMC shelter today
Sources said he had managed to get money from his family to pay for his flight ticket to Malaysia.
Hyderabad: US national John Frieser, who had landed up at a GHMC shelter after he claimed he had lost his belongings, will leave the city on Thursday. Sources said he had managed to get money from his family to pay for his flight ticket to Malaysia. Mr Freiser, a resident of Fullerton, California, had turned up at the shelter at Begumpet on June 5 and was taken care of by the Sree Education Society. The state tourism department helped him get a temporary passport.
“The shelter turned out to be a home for me,” Mr Freiser told inmates. “Shelters are the best place to lodge for travellers. All of us are from different backgrounds but we bonded well. I learnt the culture and eating habits. I will miss this place,” he said.
