Tiruvellarai Vishnu temple to have Raja Gopuram
Construction of the seven-tier Raja Gopuram' for the temple, is going on in full swing.
Tiruchy: The unfinished ‘Raja Gopuram (majestic gate tower)’, more known among locals as “Mottai Gopuram”, at the SriPundarikaksha Perumal temple complex, would soon be a thing of the past.
This historic temple at Tiruvellarai near here and a sub-temple of the ancient Sri Ranganathaswamy temple, hailed as ‘Booloka Vaikuntam’, would like the latter, also have a ‘Raja Gopuram’ though of a lesser height, sources told DC.
