Collector MG Rajamanickam slams wrong visitors'

The other group of people was talking, arguing, making a hue and cry on social media.

KOCHI: Ernakulam district collector M.G. Rajamanickam has castigated the rush for visiting Rajeshwari, the mother of the murder victim Jisha, in the hospital and described it as a craving for publicity. In a facebook post, he said the present hue and cry would be over in a matter of 10 days and nobody would be bothered to take care of the family.

In a clear dig at politicians, the collector in his post said “for the past three days, I was with the family of Jisha and what I noticed was, one group of people who came to see the mother of the victim were with either a photographer or a videographer for publicity.

The other group of people was talking, arguing, making a hue and cry on social media. And some others were mere spectators. After 10 days, this energy will go and the family will be left with nothing”. The collector said a lot of people promised financial help to Jisha’s mother and he has opened a joint account in the name of the district collector and Rajeshwari in SBI branch at Perumbavoor. People interested in providing financial help can send their contribution to account no: 35748602803. IFSC code of the branch is SBIN0008661.
