Export Inspection Agency Holds Grama Sabha in Vizag to Raise Awareness on Vigilance

Visakhapatnam: The Export Inspection Agency (EIA) - Chennai sub-office Visakhapatnam, under the ministry of commerce and industry, organised a Vigilance Awareness Grama Sabha at Vellanki village in Anandapuram mandal, Visakhapatnam, on November 5. This was part of the Vigilance Awareness Week organised by the agency from October 30 to November 5.

An EIA officer said the objective of Vigilance Awareness Week was to create awareness about common vigilance issues and foster an atmosphere conducive to weeding out corruption and unethical practices.

"Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the tools used by the Central Vigilance Commission to bring together all stakeholders to participate in the prevention and fight against corruption," the officer said.

EIA officers and staff led by assistant director in-charge Sudhanshu Sekhar Das gathered the villagers to raise awareness about the ill effects of corruption.
