Cops Issue notice to Congress Leader Over False Assault Complaint Against MIM Workers

Hyderabad: Police issued notice to Osman Bin Mohd Al Hajri, a Congress, leader, for lodging a false complaint that some MIM workers had waylaid and attacked him in front of his house in Pensionpura in Karwan Assembly constituency.

Langar Houz inspector J. Niranjan Rao said that following a complaint from Hajri, 56, police had registered a case (Crime No. 328 of 2023) of wrongful restraint, criminal intimidation and public nuisance and began investigations.

After examining CCTV camera footage and technical data and speaking to witnesses, it became clear that there had been no attack, said assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Syed Fiaz.

“We have issued a notice to complainant Hajiri if he misguides the police again with a false complaint, we will take a serious view,” the ACP said.
