Police registered a case of suspicious death and took up investigation.
The injured person has been identified as L. Thotamma.
Hyderabad: Three farmers were electrocuted and three others suffered serious injuries while installing a transformer in Jogulamba Gadwala district on Friday.
The victims are K. Eranna, Urukundu and Buddanna. Pedda Narsimhulu, Baswaraju, Jammanna and Thimmappa are undergoing treatment in hospital.
Police said the victims, all residents of Aluru village in Gattu mandal, got clearance from officials of the electricity department for installing a transformer.
“While the transformer was being installed a single phase power cable passing by got short-circuited killing the three on the spot,” Gattu inspector M. Suresh said.
