AP employees ransack Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan office
Hyderabad: Telangana Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan employees have lodged a complaint with the government against their AP counterparts for allegedly ransacking their office in SCERT premises near LB Stadium.
Before the AP staff left, they apparently went on a rampage in the premises where they were functioning until Wednesday. According to Mr A. Bhaskar Rao, additional state project director, SSA-Telangana, furniture and doors were damaged along with workstations.
Tubelights were broken, false ceilings and electric wiring were removed, even the bathrooms were not spared, he said, adding that they had noticed the damage only on Thursday.
“For the last one week AP SSA staff was busy packing their files etc. as their office was suppos-ed to be shifted to their home state. We had no clue about the damage until our watchman opened the lock today,” he said.
The State Project offices of both AP and TS were functioning from the same building in SCERT premises. The AP office was housed in the second floor, occupying over 7000 square feet.
The area now presents a sorry picture. TNGO honorary president G. Deviprasad urged Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to intervene since he had overseen allotment of buildings at the time of bifurcation.
