TV Anupama soon to leave for Mussoorie

The state government will decide on the posting of Ms Anupama after her training.

Thrissur: After 11 months as the district collector, T. V. Anupama bid farewell to the district on Thursday. She will soon be joining a month-long training programme at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration at Mussoorie in Uttarakhand which is mandatory for IAS officers in between seventh and ninth year of their service.

The collector said that she did not have time for much experience in Thrissur as most of the time she was mired in matters related to the deluge last year and the preparations of Lok Sabha elections.

“It was the support of the staff at Collectorate that was the driving force behind me for the rescue and rehabilitation works during and after the floods last year,” she said during the sendoff function.

Her last official event here was planting of saplings near Ayyanthole Post Office near the Civil Station as a part of the Green Civil Station Programme.

She said that as a part of the training programme at Mussoorie, the IAS officers would get training in matters related to finance, management and planning, to make them capable of holding secretary-level posts.

Registrar of co-operative department S. Shanavas would take charge as the new collector on Friday. The state government will decide on the posting of Ms Anupama after her training.
