THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed the Assembly on Monday that two of those accused of masterminding the dubious hartal call over the social media had RSS links. He also said that the government was exploring all possible ways to curb such misuse of the social media.
Replying to questions regarding the dubious hartal over the Kathua rape-murder case, the Chief Minister said that five accused in the case registered at Manjeri police station in connection with the hartal were found to be the masterminds. Of them ninth accused Amarnath Baiju of Kollam was an RSS office bearer and active worker and tenth-accused Sudheesh RSS loyalist. He also said that 385 cases were registered across the state in connection with the hartal and 1,595 persons arrested so far.
