Hyderabad: An Infosys employee and his wife were killed and two more were critically injured in a collision on NH 65 at Komurabanda village of Kodad mandal in Suryapet in the early hours of Monday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Arimelli Venkatanarayana, 32, his wife Arimelli Venkata Sowjanya, 25 and the injured were Gullapalli Venkata Madhavi, 21, and driver K. Rajesh, 22, who is said to be critical.
They were on their way to Sidhantham village in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh state from Hyderabad in the car when their car rammed the truck parked on the side, said the police. According to sources, the accident was due to negligence of the truck driver. The injured were shifted to Vijayawada and the bodies sent for postmortem.
