Oommen Chandy mum on Kochi Metro row over invitation

Mr Chandy said his government followed an all inclusive approach in implementing development projects.

Kochi: Former chief minister Oommen Chandy said on Sunday that he was not interested in creating controversy over the UDF MLAs’ complaint that they were not invited for the Metro ride of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the inauguration of solar project at Aluva metro station on Saturday. “I don’t want to comment on it as am not interested in creating controversies over the mega development projects of the state,” he said.

“Vizhinjam port, Kochi Metro and Kannur airport are some of the dream projects of Kerala. Hence, I won’t criticize or dampen the image of such schemes,” he said while talking to media persons on the sidelines of the 80th birthday celebrations of senior Congress leader Vayalar Ravi at his residence. Mr Chandy said his government followed an all inclusive approach in implementing development projects. Former MLA Benny Behenan was also with him.
