Hyderabad: Now chai pe charcha' in mosques

Mr Askari says that the campaign has been motivated by the PM's Chai pe Charcha.

Hyderabad: Helping Hand, an NGO, has organised a road show and a social media campaign to coincide with the month of Ramzan.

The aim of these programmes is to understand the problems of the youth while creating awareness about policies of the government that are related to education and employment.

Mr Mujtaba Askari, the founder of the NGO, says, “We conducted a socioeconomic survey in areas of the old city, and there were many shocking revelations. We decided not to abandon the matter midway, and so we have organised this programme as a follow-up.”

He says that the road show is being held in parts of the old city, after the night prayers. “We visit mosques after the night prayers every day and offer free tea and snacks to people. While doing this, we strike a conversation with them and ask them about their problems. Our volunteers note down their problems, and educate them about various policies related to education, health, and employment.”
