Hyderabad: In view of the Sri Hanuman Jayanti Vijaya Yatra on Thursday, Hyderabad police issued a traffic advisory diverting traffic away from the procession routes. Traffic would be diverted in sections as the processions pass particular points, police said.
At 11.30 am the main procession will start from Gowliguda Ram Mandir and will pass via Gowliguda, the crossroads at Putlibowli, Andhra Bank, Koti, Sultan Bazaar, Ramkote, Kachiguda, Narayanguda, YMCA, Chikkadpally and then past Ashoknagar, Gandhinagar, Viceroy Hotel, Kavadiguda, CGO Towers, Bansilalpet road, Bible House, City Light Hotel, Bata junction, Ujjaini Mahankali temple, Old Ramgopalpet PS, Paradise crossroads, CTO junction, Brooke Bond junction, Imperial Garden, Mastan Cafe and conclude at the Hanuman temple Tadbund at Bowenpally at around 8 pm after covering 12 km.
Another procession would start from the Karmanghat Hanuman temple and pass through
Champapet crossroads, IS Sadan, Dhobi Ghat, Saidabad Colony road, Shankeshwar Bazaar and enter Rachakonda commissionerate at Saroornagar tank. It would re-enter Hyderabad police limits at Rajiv Gandhi statue, Dilsukhnagar, and pass through Moosarambagh junction, Malakpet, Nalgonda crossroads, Azampura rotary, Chaderghat crossroads and join the main procession at Women’s College junction, Koti.
From 9 am to 2 pm, commuters from Lakdikapul intending go towards Dilsukhnagar or the Old City via Koti, Bank Street and Chaderghat could take the route via Basheerbagh, Old MLA quarters, Himayatnagar Y-junction, Narayanguda flyover, Barkatpura, Fever Hospital, right turn at Tilaknagar, Road No. 6 Junction, Ali Café crossroads, Moosarambagh, Dilsukhnagar.
Commuters from Dilsukhnagar to Mehdipatnam via Koti and DM&HS were suggested to take route via LB Nagar, Uppal, Tarnaka, Secunderabad or via LB Nagar, Chandrayangutta, Aramghar, Attapur, Mehdipatnam.
From 2 pm to 7 pm, commuters coming from Lakdikapul towards Secunderabad station or Uppal were suggested to take the route via VV statue, Somajiguda, Greenlands, the flyovers at Begumpet, Prakashnagar and Paradise to reach Secunderabad.
Police urged commuters to avoid the procession routes and advised to plan accordingly suggested routes. Commuters can also contact Hyderabad Traffic Control Room on 040-2785 2482 and Traffic Helpline on 9010203626 for any travel information.
11.30 am: When the procession starts at Ram Mandir, Gowliguda, traffic from Afzalgunj side will be stopped at Shanker Sher hotel and diverted towards SA mosque and Bademiya petrol pump towards MGBS. Traffic coming from Bademiya petrol pump and SA mosque vice versa will be diverted towards Afzalgunj T-junction. Traffic from Shankar Sher hotel bylanes will be diverted at Gowliguda chaman towards BSNL Lane, Jambagh, and MGBS old station road.
12 noon: When the procession reaches Putlibowli crossroads, traffic from Rangmahal will be diverted towards CBS. Traffic from Bank street will be diverted at GPO Abids towards MJ market. Traffic towards Bank street and Koti would be diverted at Yousufain company towards GPO Abids and MJ Market. Traffic from Sultan Bazaar crossroads towards Andhra Bank will be diverted towards Chaderghat at DM&HS office, Koti. Traffic from Chadarghat will not be allowed towards Andhra Bank, Koti and diverted towards Ramkoti at DM & HS office.
12.15 pm: When the procession reaches Andhra Bank, Koti, traffic from Chaderghat will be diverted at Chaderghat crossroads towards Nimboliadda and Rangmahal.
12.30 pm: When the procession reaches DM&HS office, Koti, traffic towards Badichowdi will be diverted at Kachiguda crossroads towards Tourist Hotel.
12.45 pm: When the procession reaches Ramkote crossroad, traffic will be diverted at Boggulakunta crossroads towards King Koti lane, Troop Bazaar. Traffic will be diverted at Eden Garden T-Junction towards King Koti.
1.15 pm: When procession reaches Kacheguda crossroad, traffic coming from Station road and other bylanes will be diverted at Lingampally crossroads towards Post Office road and Chappal bazaar. Traffic from YMCA towards Kacheguda crossroads will be diverted at YMCA towards Reddy College.
1.30 pm: When the procession reaches Rajmohalla Chilla, traffic from Shalimar theatre road will be diverted towards Eden Garden.
1.45 pm: When the procession reaches YMCA junction, traffic coming from the cemetery side towards YMCA will be diverted at water tank towards Melkote park. Traffic from Barkatpura towards YMCA junction will be diverted at Reddy college.
2 pm: When the procession reaches Narayanguda crossroad, traffic from Himayatnagar Y- Junction towards Narayanguda crossroad will be diverted towards the flyover. Traffic from Crown Cafe towards Narayanguda crossroad and will be diverted towards the flyover.
2.30: When the procession reaches RTC crossroads, traffic from Musheerabad towards RTC crossroad and will be diverted at Metro café towards Ramnagar fish market road. Traffic from Hindi Maha Vidyalaya will not be allowed towards RTC crossroads and will be diverted at VST towards Bagh Lingampally. Traffic coming from Indira Park towards RTC crossroads will be diverted at Indira Park towards Dharna Chowk.
3.15 pm: When procession reaches Ashoknagar crossroads, traffic from Gandhinagar T-junction towards Ashoknagar crossroads will be diverted towards Lower Tank Bund. Traffic coming from Street No. 9 Himayatnagar towards Ashoknagar crossroads will be diverted towards Narayanguda flyover.
3.45 pm: When the procession reaches Gandhinagar T-junction, traffic from Kavadiguda will be diverted towards Sailing Club (Tank Bund). Traffic from Musheerabad towards Kavadiguda will be diverted towards RTC crossroads. Traffic from DBR Mill will be diverted towards Children’s park (Tank Bund)
4.15 pm When the procession reaches Kavadiguda X Road, between 4.15 PM to 4.30 PM, Traffic coming from Bible House will not be allowed towards Kavadiguda and will be diverted towards Karbala Maidan.
Traffic coming from Sailing Club will not be allowed towards Kavadiguda and will be diverted towards Upper Tank Bund.
4.30 pm: When the procession reaches CGO Towers, traffic coming from Bansilalpet Kaman will not be allowed towards CGO Towers and will be diverted at Bible House towards Karbala.
5 pm: When procession reaches at RP Road (Bible House), traffic from Karbala Maidan towards Bible House will not be allowed towards RP Road and will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Ranigunj, Paradise and Patny. Traffic coming from Kavadiguda Towards Bible House will not be allowed and diverted at Kavadiguda towards Sailing club. Traffic coming from Patny will not be allowed towards Bible House and diverted at Patny towards Paradise.
5.30 pm: When the procession reaches Mahankali temple, traffic coming from Ranigunj towards Rocha Bazaar will not be allowed and will be diverted at Ranigunj towards Minister’s Road. Traffic coming from CTO towards Rocha Bazar will not be allowed and will be diverted at CTO towards SBI.
5.45 pm: When the procession reaches Paradise junction, traffic coming from Begumpet towards CTO will not be allowed and will be diverted towards CTO flyover on both sides. Traffic Coming from Bowenpally, Tadbund and Balamrai towards CTO will be diverted at Balamrai towards Brookbond, Tivoli.
6.15 pm: When procession reaches CTO, traffic from Begumpet towards CTO will not be allowed and will be diverted towards CTO Flyover on both sides. Traffic coming from Suchitra towards CTO will be diverted at Safe express towards Bapuji Nagar, Bowenpally Market, Trimulgherry crossroads, JBS. Traffic coming from Balanagar towards Tadbund will be diverted at Bowenpally X Road towards Safe Express and Traffic coming from Safe Express will be diverted towards Balanagar.
6.45 pm: When the procession reaches Brooke Bond junction, traffic coming from Tivoli Theatre towards Brook Bond will not be allowed and will be diverted at Tivoli towards Trimulgherry. Traffic coming from Bowenpally market, Bapuji Nagar be diverted at Diamond Point towards Narne Estate, JBS.
7 pm: When procession reaches Mastan Café Road, traffic coming from Bowenpally Market towards Diamond Point will not be allowed and will be diverted at Bowenpally Market towards Trimulgherry.
7.45 pm: When procession reaches Hanuman Temple at Tadbund, traffic coming from Brook Bond and Sikh Village will not be allowed towards temple and diverted towards Bapuji Nagar.
