Bengaluru: 19-year-old Jaykumar has only one wish. To meet Sandalwood star Shivrajkumar, his favourite actor, in person. With two failed kidneys, it's only a matter of time for 19-year-old Jaykumar.
Currently receiving treatment at KR Hospital in Mysuru, Jaykumar has always been an ardent fan of Shivrajkumar. His morning routine begins with looking at a photograph of the actor, whom he tries to mirror in every way, speaking and even acting like him.
"What began as fever five years ago was diagnosed as renal failure," said his grief-stricken mother Manjula, who works as a flower-vendor to support her son. "I have done everything I can, I'm ready to give him one of my kidneys, but don't have the funds for the procedure." Now in the final stages of his life, Jaykumar simply says: “I want to see Sandalwood actor Shivrajkumar just once before I die.”
