Kozhikode: Over 7,000 jobs on offer at Niyukthi job fair
KOZHIKODE: The state government-run National Employment Service has organised the Niyukthi Mega Job Fair which will be held at the Malabar Christian College grounds on February 11 and boasts of more than 7,000 openings in 80 private sector companies. Those who have MBBS, BSc Nursing, BSc MLT, BDS and Architecture degrees and even those who have passed SSLC, Plus-two can take part in the fair meant for job seekers from Palakkad to Kasargod.
Companies including Larsen and Toubro, TVS, HGS Bengaluru, Limenzy Technologies, Spac Software, Shove technologies, Pantaloons, Aster Mims, Baby Memorial Hospital among others have already registered. “A majority of the opportunities are in the Sales and Marketing sector- 3510. IT sector-600, Hospitality-205, Health care-180, Technical-380. Management-505, Office administration-190 are the other vacancies in various sectors,” said Venugopalan. K, Employment Officer at the District Employment Exchange.
According to him, the management of the event was being done through customized software prepared by the National Informatics Mission. “All details are precisely tracked without any room for tampering,” he added. This is the fourth Niyukhti job fair in the Kozhikode region and the organisers claim that they have placed 20,000 people through the drives. Participants and companies have to register at www.jobfest.kerala.gov.in to take part in the fair. Participants will be provided their time schedule in the admit card to be downloaded from the site. Each candidate can opt for three companies. Excise, labour minister T.P Ramakrishnan will inaugurate the fair at 10 am.
