Fatal accident in Nellore leaves one dead, injures YSRC MLC
The MLC's personal assistant Venkateswarulu was declared dead on arrival at the hospital
TIRUPATI: YSRC MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhara Reddy suffered serious injuries while his personal assistant died in a road accident on the National Highway at Regadichelaka in Kodavalur mandal, Nellore district late on Thursday night.
According to reports, the accident occurred when a tyre of the lorry moving ahead of the MLC’s car got punctured and subsequently, slowed down while the MLC’s car crashed into it from behind, at a relatively higher speed than the lorry, following which it swerved into the road divider.
The MLC’s personal assistant Venkateswarlu was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Along with the MLC, his driver also suffered serious injuries and was bleeding profusely when passersby pulled them from the mangled remains of the car.
Noted choreographer Johnny Master was passing by when he witnessed the collision and rushed to the scene to administer first aid to the victims before shifting them to Apollo Hospital in Nellore.
The MLC is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
On receiving information, the police reached the spot and registered a case.
