No one cares about the pain we are going through: Victim\'s father

HYDERABAD: The school in Banjara Hills where a four-year-old was raped, reopened on Friday after its licence was reinstated. However, the victim’s parents protested outside the school following which it declared a holiday for the weekend, and will reopen on Monday.

On the first day of reopening, only about 25 per cent of students were present from the LKG and UKG batches, the school said.

The victim’s father said that not once had the school management or teachers spoken to them about their daughter. “We have to beg the school management to talk to us. They did not even ask about my daughter’s health. In fact, when we go to the school, the teachers do not even look at us,” the father said.

School manager V.N.N.K. Seshadri said the management representatives were busy in handling the fallout of the situation. “As the school was going through major changes, especially in the management, we could not meet the victim’s parents before the school reopened. We agree we should have met them before, but could not,” he said.

Other parents said that they had no problem with the school as the management was slowly fulfilling their demands. However, the victim’s father said that he felt like he is fighting the battle alone.
