Dissolve BDJS: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan

At a meet the press programme here, the CPM leader said that no tie up with BJDS was possible.

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Tuesday said that there was no question of a tie up with the BDJS should the party snap ties with the BJP. At a meet the press programme here, the CPM leader said that no tie up with BJDS was possible. “CPM has taken a stand earlier that it will not have any truck with political parties that are formed by religious groups or caste groups,” he said.

Kodiyeri said the BDJS was formed with lot of anticipation and they had high expectations after becoming part of BJP led NDA. “Even at that time we predicted that the alliance was nothing but a Dhrithrashtra embrace. We were sure about the outcome. It is no secret that the parties which had joined hands with the BJP ended up losing its cadres. Take the instance of Shiv Sena. BDJS is heading for a similar situation,” he added.

The CPM leader called for BJDS dissolution and asked the leadership to propagate the ideals of Sree Narayana Guru along with SNDP. “Sree Narayana Guru’s teachings and philosophy has nothing in common with RSS. The BDJS stand to tie up with RSS was suicidal. At least they have realised now. Vellapally has said it openly,” he said. Taking a dig at SNDP leader, Kodiyeri said all that Vellapally got from BJP was 10 black cat commandos as security. There is no other benefit worth the name. Now reports suggest that the BJP wants to give the chairmanship of some corporation to Tushaar Vellapally. “Did they leave Narayana Guru’s ideals to join hands with BJP for corporation post,” he asked.
